American Federal Government Paper

The U.S. Constitution is the cornerstone of our federal government. The Constitution establishes a basic operational framework that enables the three branches of government—executive, legislative, and judicial —to interact and function as a unit. Embedded in this operational framework are two key principles:
separation of powers and a system of checks and balances. Think about how these branches interact and the importance of these checks and balances and the separation of powers.
Write: In your initial post, please fully and directly respond to the following:
Explain the difference between checks and balances and the separation of powers, and explain why they are important to our democracy.
Discuss one recent real-world example of checks and balances, and explain the impact of it.
Discuss one recent real-world example of balance of power, and explain the impact of it.
Discuss one recent real-world example of how the Constitution directly protects individual and group rights.

Money & Financial Institutions

Type answers for the following questions:
1. The demand curve and supply curve for one-year discount bonds with a face value of $1,000 are represented by the following equations. ܤ”:ܲݎ݅ܿ݁=−0.6∗ܳݑܽ݊ݐ݅ݕݐ+1140ܤ9:ܲݎ݅ܿ݁=ܳݑܽ݊ݐ݅ݕݐ+700What is the equilibrium interest rate?
2. Use the graphical bond market model to answer the following questions. In each case, support your answer with a figure, and explain your answer. Label a figure clearly. What is the effect of an increase in wealth on interest rates? What is the effect of a decrease in expected inflation on interest rates? Why
does an expectation of an upcoming interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve cause bond prices to fall?
3. In 2010 and 2011, the government of Greece risked defaulting on its debt due to a severe budget crisis.
Set up one bond market graph for U.S. Treasury bonds, and a second bond market graph for comparable-maturity Greek debt. Use these graphs to show the effects on (a) the interest rate on U.S.
Treasury bonds, and (b) on the interest rate on Greek bonds. Explain your answer. (Clearly label your figures: first set up the initial equilibrium, and then clearly label all shifts).
4. In this question, you will look at the spread between riskless and risky bonds over time by comparing the riskless rate on 10-year Treasury bonds to (riskier) 10-year Baa corporate bonds using FRED.

a. Go to the FRED website, and search for the “10-year Treasury constant maturity rate”. Select monthly data.
Go to edit graph, and add a line describing “Moody’s 10-year seasoned Baa corporate bond yield”.
Change the dates, so you’re looking at 2002 to the present. Download the graph and submit with your assignment.

b. Let’s look at the same data a different way. Specifically, look at the credit spread (the
yield on Baa bonds relative to Treasuries). In a new window, search for “Moody’s seasoned Baa corporate bond yield relative to yield on 10-year Treasury constant maturity”. Again, use monthly data and show 2002 to the present.

c. Describe your graph(2-3 sentences). In your description, address:

i. The relative levels of the two series over time.

ii. What happened to the credit spread (the return on riskier
bonds –i.e. Baa corporate bonds –relative to less risky securities –i.e. Treasuries) during the crisis.

The First WorldWar Discussion

This week we return back to the trenches of the Western Front to explore some of the war’s most memorable and deadly battles. As a result, many of these prompts ask you to think back to earlier readings from our class or to think more broadly about the 1916 period of fighting.
1. As Michael Howard asks in Chapter 5 of The First World War: A Very Short Introduction, what factors made it possible for the war to last so long? In other words, what made it possible for the countries involved in the war to endure the war of attrition that settled in by 1916?
2. Think back to all of the firsthand accounts of the First World War we’ve read so far. Which one stands out to you the most? Why?
3. Both Louis Barthas and Gabriel Chevallier present accounts of the First World War from a French soldier’s perspective. How are these accounts similar or different? What do you think can explain these differences, if there are any?
4. What was it like to inhabit a trench during the Battle of Verdun?
Please consider the following passage:
“The trench we had just occupied was about halfway up the slope… In reality this wasn’t much more than a miserable boyau dug in one night, by troops who were hanging on three and who, the next day, were pulverized by howitzers. ”There, human flesh had been shredded, torn to bits. At places where the earth
was soaked with blood, swarms of flies swirled and eddied. You couldn’t really see corpses, but you knew where they were, hidden in shell holes with a layer of dirt on top of them, from the wafting smells of rotten flesh. There was all sorts of debris everywhere: broken rifles; gutted packs from which spilled out pages of tenderly written letters and other carefully guarded souvenirs from home, and which the wind scattered;
crushed canteens, shredded musette bags—all labeled 125th Regiment. I was easily able to replace the munitions, rations, and tools which I had cast off during the march up to the front.”The sight of this gloomy tableau suggested to us that the next day, once the Boches spotted our presence there, they would
pound us into marmalade” (p. 193).

Retention and attraction of customers during Covid-19, in the conditions of restrictions and changes in the market conjuncture

1. What is the aim of your study? What are the objectives for your study?

The aim of this research is to propose relevant customer retention strategy for a small food and beverage enterprise.
The objectives are:

According to a Harvard Business School study, increasing customer retention rates by just 5% can increase profits anywhere from 25% to 95% – what could be the solution for small businesses during COVID-19. During the coronavirus period, the restaurant business market has changed due to government restrictions and market reaction, those are still rarely taken into account by the managers of small cafeterias, which may be a solution for attracting customers.

3. Provide an outline of your study design and methods.
This study will be carried out through questionnaire and secondary data collection from open sources of information (scientific articles and case studies). Furthermore, the content analysis method was used for the analysis of data collated.

5 – foreign women 20-45 age
5 – foreign men 20-45 age
In questionnaires, people will have to rate their satisfaction on factors that affect their satisfaction with the service, such as hygiene, food quality compliance with safety standards during covid-19, and more(after comprehensive research is done).

5. Are payments or rewards/incentives going to be made to the participants?
