Competition and Regulation in EU Healthcare Markets

What I should do is write an essay answering this question in 4500 words (I need to get a distinction):

‘Medical devices fulfil comparable functions and create comparable risks to human health as pharmaceuticals. It is incomprehensible that they should not be subject to a comparable system of marketing authorisation.’ Identify what are, in your view, the most significant differences between the system for placing medical devices on the market and that for medicinal products and discuss whether you agree that a common approach should be adopted for both categories of products.

What I am asking you to do is providing me with:

– Help with the structure of my essay, i.e. titles and contents for each paragraph. This should contain ALL the relevant issues and should be something on which I can elaborate to do a detailed essay;

– Sources through which I can elaborate on each point;

All the above mentioned should amount to 6 pages, which is what I am paying for. I am attaching to the present message:

1. Outline of the TWO lectures and TWO seminars that tackled the topic of my essay. There you can find SOME of the relevant bibliography. If you have no access to those reading materials on any platform, I can see if I can find some of them somewhere, so feel free to contact me;

2. Power point presentation on the lectures, that you might find helpful.

Anyway, the content of the essay should NOT be exclusively based on this. Moreover, the question of the essay could lead one to include medical data on risks and so on, but this is a law essay, so that some medical data are ok, but only to the extent needed for my legal arguments.

My paper will be checked to see if there is plagiarism, so that I need it to be NOT PLAGIARISED.

How to – Radio & Podcasting – Recording

Choose a Topic

Music Genre, Artist, or Album: Write a podcast script in which you will teach your audience about a specific music genre, artist, or album. Using the rhetorical devices, persuade your listeners that the genre, artist, album is noteworthy, . (Do not use copyrighted music in your podcast.)

Dream Job: Write a podcast script in which you will teach your audience about aspects of your dream job. For example, if you want to be a marine biologist, persuade your listeners that marine biology is an excellent career, using the rhetorical devices.

College Success Skills: Write a podcast script in which you will teach your audience about college success skills. Refer to the skills you learned in the last unit (avoiding procrastination and plagiarism, learning a new writing process to avoid writer’s block, developing time management skills). Using the rhetorical devices, persuade your listeners that these skills will promote future success, .

Do Research

Find at least three (3) credible sources to include in your podcast.

Plan how your will incorporate and use these sources to support your ideas and to provide evidence. You will use quotations, statistics, and other salient information from these sources in your podcast.

*Important: Use the CRAAP Test (The CRAAP Test – Evaluating Sources – Research Guides at Benedictine University Library) to help you choose academic sources that are appropriate for the rhetorical situation.

Draft a Script

Beginning: Begin the script with the title and date of the podcast. Introduce the topic and the speakers in an inviting and engaging way.

Main Points: State, support, and persuade your audience. Use sources you find on the internet to support your opinions. Include a reference to the source within the sentence. Use signal phrases to introduce a reference to the article. (For more tips on incorporating quotes, see UNC’s webpage on Quotations.)

Ending: End creatively.

Format the Script

Format the text of your script like the one you looked at for the podcast “The Haunting Effects of Going Days Without Sleep.”

Sources: Add a Works Cited list at the end of your script. Include citations for all sources, including the sound bytes.

Sound: Find 2-3 sound bytes for your podcast. Choose sounds that are NOT copyrighted. See this Creative Commons web page of Image, Video and Audio Resources that includes a long list of suggested sound websites. Scroll down the page to the Audio Resources section. Indicate where each sound byte will be in the script. Use parentheses to show the sound location and include a description of the sound, for example (Soundbite of Applause).

Proofread: Re-read your script out loud to catch errors. Make corrections as you read. Time yourself to see if it is 3-5 minutes.

Submit your written podcast script as a Word document or Google doc. (In the next assignment, you will record your podcast and submit an audio file.)

Hohokam Writing assignment

This assignment focuses on an article you read climate and migrations: Ingram, Scott E. and

Karen Gust Schollmeyer (2021) Understanding Past Climate-Related Migration for Our Warming

World. Kiva 87(2):220-252. It was written by archaeologists for archaeologists, and thus is from

the professional literature. You can find the a link to the PDF on the page “Week 2 Lectures,

Readings and Other Work.”

The article draws on findings from both the Hohokam and Mimbres regions. For this writeup

assignment, please focus on the Hohokam part (as well as the overall and general arguments).

We will return to Mimbres part of the article later.

Read the article, perhaps twice, following the suggestions in the “concept” section above.

Then prepare a 250-400 word write-up of the article, following the guidelines below. See the

example for further guidance.

(1) The complete bibliographic citation for the article. You can just copy this from the paragraph

above (blue).

(2) A statement summarizing the basic argument made by the authors. Put some time into

thinking about this. It’s not always easy to identify the argument.

(3) A description of the Hohokam data and/or analyses used by the authors along with an

explanation of how they support the argument. Focus on how the evidence presented in the

article – not the background information it summarizes – relates to the argument being made

General Guidelines

These write-ups should be carefully written and logically presented, using complete grammatical

sentences. They should be carefully proofread and spell-checked. They must be typed.

Hints

-Follow the directions and look at the example.

-You can refer to the authors of the article as “Ingram and Schollmeyer.”

-Make sure you understand the argument of the article.

-Separate the argument from the evidence.

-You do not have to use the structure suggested above (parts 2&3). However, if you are worried

about what is expected, it is a good idea to use it.

-Use spellcheck and proofread your paper carefully. Read it out loud and you will probably catch

errors you would not otherwise find.

Bayeux Tapestry Analysis Paper

write an assessment of 1200-1600 words on the primary sources they plan to use for their research paper. The number of sources may vary depending on the topic (i.e. a close review of a single large source or a wide-ranging analysis of many small sources) but you will need to demonstrate you have enough source material to use for your paper. You may begin with sources from the class reader but will need to do additional research for sources to use related to your paper topic.ONLY SOURCE IS HERE

Ise Shrine (Naiku and Geku)

The research project is Ise Shrine, which mainly studies Naiku and Geku. The writing needs to be based on the writing proposal I uploaded. The writing project must be +/-3500 words (not including title page, image captions, footnotes, image list, or bibliography) and may take the form of either an essay. Please check the document I uploaded for writing requirements, which is about writing specific requirements. Also I uploaded my reading notes, and pictures of the project.

Drawing upon a range of academic concepts/theories discussed throughout the module, you are required to prepare a report which critically evaluates and appraises the following in the context of a case study organisation of your choice

Drawing upon a range of academic concepts/theories discussed throughout the module, you are required to prepare a report which critically evaluates and appraises the following in the context of a case study organisation of your choice:

 The role of two strategic project management techniques in enhancing

sustainable advantage for the organisation [approx. 1000 words]

 The personal competencies of project managers and how the effective utilisation

of PMO can bridge the gaps in order to deliver business benefits [approx. 1000

words]

 The impact of leadership and governance on strategic project management

[approx. 700 words]

 The relationship between organisational strategy and project selection [approx 700 words]

You can draw from your own experience or research an organisation of your choice to develop your evaluation, argument and reflection. You may wish to consider successes, failures, best practices, lessons learned (or otherwise). Be mindful not to merely describe

– this should be a critical evaluation and demonstrate an understanding of the application of strategic project tools. Consider the relevance and effective use in the project environment, perhaps during periods of high levels of uncertainty such as Covid 19 and how project selection, for example, becomes far more strategically important.

What is the ethical impact of a spontaneous abortion and procured abortion? What is the difference of each one?

Read and watch the lecture resources & materials below early in the week to help you respond to the discussion questions and to complete your assignment(s). Personal opinions are not allowed answer the following. Please include the question when giving the answer:

1)Read and make a summary of ERD paragraphs # 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 66 (find them below)

45. Abortion (that is, the directly intended termination of pregnancy before viability or the directly intended destruction of a viable fetus) is never permitted. Every procedure whose sole immediate effect is the termination of pregnancy before viability is an abortion, which, in its moral context, includes the interval between conception and implantation of the embryo. Catholic health care institutions are not to provide abortion services, even based upon the principle of material cooperation. In this context, Catholic health care institutions need to be

46. Catholic health care providers should be ready to offer compassionate physical, psychological, moral, and spiritual care to those persons who have suffered from the trauma of abortion.

47. Operations, treatments, and medications that have as their direct purpose the cure of a proportionately serious pathological condition of a pregnant woman are permitted when they cannot be safely postponed until the unborn child is viable, even if they will result in the death of the unborn child.

48. In case of extrauterine pregnancy, no intervention is morally licit which constitutes a direct abortion.

49. For a proportionate reason, labor may be induced after the fetus is viable.

50. Prenatal diagnosis is permitted when the procedure does not threaten the life or physical integrity of the unborn child or the mother and does not subject them to disproportionate risks; when the diagnosis can provide information to guide preventative care for the mother or pre- or postnatal care for the child; and when the parents, or at least the mother, give free and informed consent. Prenatal diagnosis is not permitted when undertaken with the intention of aborting an unborn child with a serious defect.

51. Nontherapeutic experiments on a living embryo or fetus are not permitted, even with the consent of the parents. Therapeutic experiments are permitted for a proportionate reason with the free and informed consent of the parents or, if the father cannot be contacted, at least of the mother. Medical research that will not harm the life or physical integrity of an unborn child is permitted with parental consent.

66. Catholic health care institutions should not make use of human tissue obtained by direct abortions even for research and therapeutic purposes

Start watching after time: 1:42:00; you’re welcome to watch the video from the beginning, but the answers to the following questions are given after one hour and 42 minutes into this second video.

3)Why contraceptive pills, IUD and the “morning after” pill are also considered abortifacients?

4)Explain abortion methods, depending on the stage of pregnancy.

Explain Roe Vs. Wade case and speak about Norma McCorvey’s life.

5)Is there any alternative to abortion?

Preventing HIV Mother-to-Child transmission amongst pregnant women in West Africa.

Summative Assignment: Research Proposal

Word limit: 1500 words – excluding the title and reference list. All other text is counted in the limit.

Marks: 100%

Students are required to submit a structured and concise research proposal for a systematic literature review. This will form the basis for their dissertation. It should include four sections:

1. Background (~500 words), including context and rationale for the study, nature and extent of the problem/issue, a brief summary of previous relevant research, and public health significance.

2. Research Question (~100 words), including the PICO or PECO formulation.

3. Study Design and Methods (~900 words), including details of design, search strategy, study selection, data extraction, quality assessment, and data synthesis approach. Also, provide a study timetable that demonstrates that the research question can be answered in the time you have available. Finally, list the resources needed to complete the systematic literature review research.

HINT: You must propose a quasi-systematic literature review. Do not suggest that you will collect primary data.

4. References (not counted in word count): use Harvard Referencing Style – details and examples may be found at
