You previously sent me the paper for “Essay Question about Portuguese Music” a month ago and now I have another paper just expanding on that one. I attached the original one as well. The instructions are below:1. Pick the topic of ONE of your previous response papers. You wrote two response papers thus far; you can choose which one you would like to work on again. 2. Conduct further research on the topic you addressed, by looking up further sources on the theme, namely scholarly articles or books. Note that blog posts, or Wikipedia entries are not typically peer-reviewed scholarly items, though they may refer you to actual publications of the sort, which you can consult. 3. Write a RESEARCH paper on the same topic, discussing it with not only the insights that you have gathered thus far, but also with the knowledge that emanates from your further research on the topic. Your personal insights on the theme will guide your main perspective, whereas those insights provided by the further research will complement your knowledge and main points.4.1. You are allowed to use any and all sections of the response papers you have written before: single sentences, paragraphs, full pages. For the sake of ease of work, consider whether trying to use the same essay and littering it with scattered quotations gleaned from articles will be effective, or if you are better off creating a new layout and writing anew. In any case, you should see your response paper 1 or 2 as en early draft of the main ideas conveyed, which you may follow more closely or change more substantially. 4.2. Make sure to check all of the professor’s comments and/or corrections in the response papers you choose to use as a starting point. All students will gain a number of points by addressing issues your professor corrected, using Turnitin.4.3. You can certainly make new connections to other music you have not addressed in the response paper 1 or 2, including genres or musicians discussed since. this was the prompt topic:”The post-coup 1960s was a period of crisis for progressive forces in Brazil that provoked a critical rethinking of nationally defined cultural imperatives that were articulated in several fields of artistic production, particularly in popular music. In 1967-1968 two young singer-songwriters from Bahia, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, led an ephemeral, but high-impact movement known as Tropicália that appropriated local and foreign musical styles and relativized prevailing notions of authenticity in popular musicChristopher Dunn. “Tropicália, Counterculture and the Diasporic Imagination in Brazil.” Brazilian Popular Music & Globalization.
