Explain how Biff and Happy see this expectation differently?
One of the many tensions in Death of a Salesman is between Willies hopes and expectations for his own children and their expectations for themselves. Tackle that part of the American Dream myth that we all expect our kids to somehow have it better and easier than we had it. Where do we get that idea? Is it possible for each generation? Is it good for each generation? Explain how Biff and Happy see this expectation differently?
