Research proposal:Contemporary Action in Finance

The research proposal enables you to identify a research question aligned with your Finance pathway area.
1. Form and propose the scope of your research, its aims, research question and objectives, and discuss the reasons you think this particular area/ topic is interesting and important in our current finance/ economic environment.
2. Research and identify key peer-reviewed journal articles that are related to your research questions. The key literature offers insights into primary or secondary evidence-based data collection methods, and timeline to prompt your thinking. You then critically review and discuss these articles, comparing and contrasting them, building up the case for your research question. Reflect upon the literature to build your hypotheses/ research questions.
3. Propose your research method and data, stating your approach in details. If you intend to conduct quantitative work, then clearly state the models you plan to employed, and the data that you consider using. If you would like to conduct qualitative work, then clearly state the plan how you will obtain the data and what type of data you would like to obtain.
4. Propose your working timeline, reflecting on the amount of work discussed in section 3. You can employ a Gantt chart.
