Application Exercise: Gender Roles

The BEM Sex-Role Inventory is a checklist completed by the participant with the goal of trying to determine how masculine or feminine an individual is. Before taking the survey, please read all of the assignment directions, making special note of #4 BEFORE you take the survey. You may want to note these 10 words as you work. Each page of the survey represents a different gender category: masculine, feminine, and androgynous (not necessarily in this order). Once you have read the assignment directions, begin the BEM Sex-Role Inventory(

6. Provide any other thoughts or insights you have on the gender or gender stratification.
