Discuss the role of stakeholders in the development of health policy in general, and obesity policy in particular. Choose one stakeholder group who you believe should be involved in the development of an obesity policy and analysing the academic literature, investigate the issues relating to the engagement of this group and some methods you might use to involve them in the development of an obesity policy.

Intent: Provides students with the opportunity to analyse the health policy literature, learn the process and language of health policy and the importance and influence of the involvement of various stakeholder groups.
